Job Description:

As the Data Centre Engineering Lead of our clients' Bitcoin mining company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the technical operations of all mining sites.

This position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing Mining Operations: Lead and manage all mining operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all sites.
• Site Buildout: Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to optimise the buildout of mining sites for maximum efficiency.
• Server Maintenance: Ensure smooth and efficient operation of servers at all mining sites.
• Monitoring Team Leadership: Lead the monitoring team to maintain high uptime and promptly address any server issues.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with mining operations, handling emergencies as they arise.
• Site Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence at various locations to assess suitability for mining operations and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

• Hands-On Approach: Must be hands-on and willing to engage in day-to-day operations at mining sites.
• MUST BE BASED IN DUBAI or Abu Dhabi
• Flexibility to Travel: Ability to travel frequently to oversee mining sites and conduct site due diligence.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to motivate teams and achieve company goals.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in Bitcoin mining hardware, including ASICs.
• Experience in integrating Stacks (STX) for enhanced functionality.
• Understanding of Proof of Transfer (PoX) consensus mechanism.
• Familiarity with Stratum V2 protocol for optimizing the mining process.
• Proficiency in various Bitcoin mining software such as BFGMiner, Cudo Miner, etc.
• Experience with energy monitoring tools for efficient and sustainable mining operations.
• Commitment to Innovation: Ability to adapt to evolving industry standards and protocols.
• Commitment to staying informed about industry developments and advancements in Bitcoin mining technology.
