Civil Foreman

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE, specializing in contracting fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will oversee construction operations on site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. As a Civil Foreman, you will play a key role in the management of skilled labor, materials, and equipment while fostering a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency. Your leadership will be critical in guiding the workforce to achieve project milestones and maintain adherence to project specifications and safety regulations. Responsibilities: - Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety protocols. - Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery. - Lead and mentor a team of skilled laborers and tradespeople, providing clear instructions and guidance to enhance productivity and performance. - Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary. - Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with established quality standards and local building codes. - Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency. - Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including labor hours, materials used, and equipment utilized, and report progress to project management. - Implement and enforce safety measures to create a safe working environment, conducting safety briefings and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. - Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure alignment and address any concerns promptly. - Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or similar role in the contracting fit-out industry, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction management. - Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations in the UAE. - Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders. - Proficiency in construction management software and tools, along with basic computer skills in MS Office. - A valid UAE driving license is preferred to facilitate site visits and meetings. - Certification in construction safety and first aid is an advantage. - A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be highly valued.
