Role Overview

The Civil Inspector will be responsible for site supervision, quality assurance, and compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards. This role ensures that civil works are executed in line with contractual requirements, safety regulations, and the client’s expectations. The Civil Inspector will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to monitor progress and report on construction quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect civil construction works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and international/local standards.
• Monitor daily site activities, ensuring quality control, workmanship, and adherence to project schedules.
• Review and verify contractors’ method statements, inspection requests (IRs), and material submittals.
• Conduct inspections of structural and civil works including concrete, foundations, roads, utilities, and finishes.
• Identify and report non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on closure.
• Maintain detailed site records, inspection logs, and daily progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and the client’s representatives to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings for accuracy.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in civil inspection on infrastructure/building projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Previous experience working with international consulting/engineering firms is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and codes (ACI, ASTM, BS, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations and UAE construction practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and site management software.
• Strong communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
