Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure CloudOps Network Engineer to implement and manage our cloud networking infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure networking services, security, automation, and operational best practices. This role will focus on ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of cloud-based network systems while providing engineering solutions and technical guidance to support cloud operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Azure cloud networking solutions, including Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, VPNs, and Azure Firewall.
  • Manage and optimize network performance, security, and scalability to support enterprise cloud environments.
  • Enforce network automation strategies using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues, including connectivity, latency, and security incidents.
  • Implement and maintain network security best practices, including NSGs, Azure DDoS Protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Private Link.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and DevOps engineers to integrate networking solutions with business applications.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency through network performance tuning and monitoring.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to cloud networking and data protection.
  • Implement disaster recovery and high-availability strategies for cloud network infrastructure.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, policies, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud networking or systems administration with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking services, including VNets, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Azure DNS, and Virtual WAN.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
  • Proficiency in network automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, TCPDump, and Azure Network Watcher.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud networking, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills are required for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex networking issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to produce clear documentation and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with multi-cloud networking strategies and integration with Azure, OCI.
  • Familiarity with container networking, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
  • Experience with Zero Trust network security principles.
  • Strong understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, and modern enterprise networking technologies.
