As Coaching and Compliance Coordinator, coach and contribute in the development of new and existing staff to meet the dnata Airport Operations business objectives, ensuring employees have the right capabilities and skills (technical/nontechnical) to perform in their role, while maintaining the highest level of customer services and a safe working environment.
In This Role You Will
- Effectively carries out on-job or class room coaching/training sessions as assigned by the direct supervisor or as per the published schedule in co-ordination with key stakeholders. Adapts delivery style to suit the target audience, using appropriate learning aids and ensure that the training or coaching objective is met at the end of each session.
- Completes all required documentation associated with the coaching/training assignments and forward to the direct supervisor/ relevant line manager. Carry out other adhoc tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Carries out observations on adequate sample size in a timely manner, and records on the audit form/checklist in a neat and legible manner. In case of non-compliance, gives feedback/coach the concerned staff on the correct processes/procedures and records this under the corrective measures taken.
- Reviews and assess staff development. Identify where achievement has been made and recognise it and recommend further action where required.
- Reviews and continuously update through workplace audits, the training or coaching requirements and gaps. Makes recommendations to relevant stakeholders to assist in the development of the role specific courses.
- Conducts follow ups on the observations/non-conformance raised during audits and verify effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions taken through continuous monitoring. Based on corrective/preventive actions, review SOPs or work instructions and recommend changes. Changes in documentation are communicated to the staff through frequent briefings.
- Works on special projects as assigned by the management to enhance the service quality, best working practices and process improvements.
- Conducts regular intra and inter departmental coaching to staff on SOPs, work instructions and any relevant documents. Maintain records of coaching conducted and prepare reports.
- Organises & conducts trade test for internal promotions as per the requirement from Line Managers. Ensures answer sheets of trade test are evaluated and results are shared with the Line Managers, within the agreed timeline.
- Supports Quality & Standards Manager to manage the staff files of ULD section, to ensure compliance as per GCAA/ EASA regulations.
- Supports in maintaining ISO, IATA, ISAGO, Regulated Agent (RA3), GDP/CEIV and standards related to other accreditation programs through regular coaching and compliance audits at operational and non-operational areas
- Prepares audit schedule and conduct regular conformance audits on procedures in line with ISAGO, GDP/CEIV, RA3 and established processes. Audit's observations/non-conformance reports are addressed to Line Management for immediate corrections.
- Contributes towards preparation of training or coaching schedules, plans, and related learning aids/presentations (e.g. Power Point slides) and liaise with Training Providers such as dnata Training/EAC where required. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prepare/communicate the schedule/nomination in a timely manner when required.
- Prepares compliance audit plans and schedules and associated processes and procedures as directed by the direct supervisor.
- Prepares compliance audit questionnaires in line with all applicable standards (ISO, IATA, GCAA) and regulatory requirements.
- Supports Quality & Standards Manager to develop annual training plan for all the section of dTS, by coordinating with respective line manager
- Develops Training Programme for ULD staff to ensure training compliance as per GCAA/ EASA regulations
- Develops question banks for conducting Trade test on different streams (Mechanical, Electrical, ULD, Welding) for internal promotions. Also ensure periodic review of the question banks.
- Prepares monthly training or coaching nominations as per the annual training/ coaching plan.
- Leads and identifies the training or coaching required across each section of the department, to improve the knowledge level of staff which will result in improvement of Quality of services and safety at the workplace
- Reviews department's processes using IATA publications, industrial best practices and regulatory requirements and supports department's continuous improvement programs.
- Diploma or certificate in any of the discipline (Automobile, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering) or High School with a Certificate
- Experience of 2-6 years with an international airline or ground handling/ Air cargo handling company.
- Experience of 4-6 years as a trainer/coach preferably with an international airline or ground handling/Air cargo handling company
- Working knowledge of all or some of the following: aircraft loading, aircraft appearance, Air cargo handling, GHA Cargo Handling Systems, ULD and aircraft ground support.
- Knowledge of maintenance/ Air cargo handling practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of AHM, ISAGO, IATA, DCAA, DGR and GCAA standards and regulations would be an advantage.
- Must have strong working knowledge of Ms-Word, Ms-Excel, Ms-Power Point
- Certification in audit functions will be an advantage
- Adaptable to working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Must hold a relevant training/coaching qualifications
