Key Accountabilities:
- Ownership of finance processes of Remaya Projects – both in i) phase of execution (Project Controlling Finance) and ii) phase of bidding/ backlog (Commercial Finance). Be the Finance Business Partner with Operations and Project Management, by translating the operational facts into quantified accounting entries & forecast.
- Quarterly Project Review (Contract Margin Review) à Actuals vs Budget cost & revenue comparison by project & cost category L1, L2 & L3. Provide clear visibility of financials to operational leadership and drive commitment & closure of actions to meet budget. Oversight of accounting entries in GL, in order to ensure proper Project Accounting (POC, ECA, Deferred Charges and Contract Assets) is correctly booked and reflects the operational execution.
- Revenue & Collections Database à maintain timely & accurate update of project Revenue Recognition, Billings and Collections, aligned to the Project Management confirmation of project execution advance, as per customer acceptances certificates properly documented for each accounting period. Alignment to USGAAP, IFRS and EDGE HQ Controllership guidelines for Rev Rec & Project Accounting, ensuring timely completion of audits & month/ year end closing.
- Streamline & automate finance processes à minimize time spent in Transactional work of manual data consolidation, by: i) standardizing Finance templates; ii) educating Ops team to use correct Account/ Project/ Cost center to open PO/ PRs & enforcing policies; iii) maintaining organization of backup files & documentation, in order to expedite internal & external audits closure, and reduce workload during month/ end closing.
- Advanced Excel (Advanced Powerpoint desirable)
- Fluent English. Able to lead meetings in English and write reports/ presentations
- Relevant industry certifications of the government accounting policies and procedures and Knowledge of accounting standards.
- 5+ Years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting.
- Experience working in conglomerate/ multinationals.
- Experience working cross-functionally (Finance with Operations and other functions)
- Resilience & team player attitude – ability to handle pressure efficiently while maintaining work quality. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within and outside Finance function (especially with Operational and Commercial leadership)
- Prioritization & Sense of urgency – ability to proactively prioritize the most important deliverables & meet their deadlines. Be able to escalate issues when necessary, proposing solutions and asking the clarifying questions in order to ensure proper understanding.
- Attention to detail. Check & double check financial numbers as output of his/ her work prior to submissions & communication, being able to tie to the appropriate ledgers/ operational estimates/ contract agreements/ invoices. Be the gatekeeper of financial information and its entries in the ledger. Ensure use of “source of truth” numbers. Be a quick learner.
- Proficient with SAP, Oracle & HFM/ Hyperion. Able to pull reports and post entries
- Proficient with Project Accounting (POC/ ECA/ Deferred Charges/ Contract Assets)
- Experience with USGAAP/ IFRS policies, procedures and reporting
