Compliance Associate UAE National

An excellent opportunity is available with a governmental investment entity based in Abu Dhabi for a Compliance Associate ensuring adequate execution of the ethics and compliance annual plan and the ethics and compliance program. Please note only UAE National Family Book candidates will be considered.

Reporting to the Head of Ethics and Compliance you will:

• Advise on day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with relevant investments guidelines, internal limits as well as personal account dealing policies.
• Review periodically the restricted securities list ensuring safeguarding of MNPI and provide support in performing wall cross preventing conflicts ahead of new investments opportunities.
• Conduct regular controls as defined in the annual compliance monitoring plan.
• Identify and propose process improvements with regards to ethics and compliance activities with the aim of streamlining operations and improving team productivity.
• Support the compliance team in detecting and reviewing specific non-compliance cases identified, conduct investigations, prepare reports and propose adequate actions ensuring commitment to ethical conduct.
• Support the compliance team in conducting risk assessment exercises, identifying and reporting key risk indicators as well as proposing adequate risk ratings and control frameworks.

The Compliance Associate will hold a Bachelors' degree in a relevant field and possess a strong compliance background in similar relevant roles with a good awareness of risks in financial institutions and of investment products. You will have a strong understanding of project management principles, a proven track record of managing teams, projects, and resources. And excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
