Job Title: Compliance / KYC Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance / KYC Analyst to support our compliance function by performing Level 1 (L1) reviews of customer onboarding, KYC due diligence, and sanctions screening alerts. The role requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance / KYC Analyst to support our compliance function by performing Level 1 (L1) reviews of customer onboarding, KYC due diligence, and sanctions screening alerts. The role requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct L1 review of customer onboarding files, including KYC, CDD, and supporting documentation
- Review and assess sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening alerts, escalating potential true matches in line with internal procedures
- Ensure customer information is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory and internal requirements
- Prepare clear, well-reasoned written assessments and escalation of suspicious activities for Compliance and MLRO review
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve KYC queries and documentation gaps
- Adhere to defined SLAs and manage workload to meet onboarding and alert review timelines
- Support ongoing monitoring activities and periodic KYC reviews
- Maintain proper records and audit trails in line with compliance standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risk assessments and decisions
- Above-average decision-making ability, with sound judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks under pressure
- Ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately
- High level of integrity and confidentiality awareness
- 1–3 years' experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime roles
- Familiarity with customer onboarding, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and KYC tools
- Understanding of AML/CFT regulatory requirements (UAE or international preferred)
- Relevant degree or professional certification (e.g. CAMS) is an advantage
