Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Consultant Breast Pathologist to join our hospital in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and studying breast diseases through the examination of tissue samples and other laboratory tests. You will work closely with our team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses and contribute to the overall success of our medical center.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the examination and diagnosis of tissue samples to identify and classify breast diseases
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to provide accurate diagnoses
• Work with medical teams to discuss results, provide recommendations, and contribute to the development of treatment plans
• Monitor and ensure the quality of laboratory procedures and processes
• Participate in regular tumor board meetings to discuss complex cases and provide expert inputs to patient care
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in breast pathology and participate in relevant research projects and conferences
• Provide mentorship and training to junior pathologists, residents, and laboratory staff
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and reports
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with other departments and external organizations as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Medical degree and post-graduate training in pathology with a specialization in breast pathology
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Breast Pathologist in a reputable healthcare facility
• Must be Western-trained
• Experience in laboratory management, quality control, and proficiency testing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Proficiency in using medical software and other computer applications
