Role Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant in Critical Care Medicine with expertise in liver and/or kidney transplantation. The role involves leading ICU care for transplant patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant in Critical Care Medicine with expertise in liver and/or kidney transplantation. The role involves leading ICU care for transplant patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ICU team in managing critically ill transplant patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
- Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, and anesthetists to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform advanced procedures such as invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, and hemodynamic support
- Ensure compliance with international best practices and DHA regulations
- Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs for junior staff
- Provide on-call support and consultations across critical care areas including ER and transplant units
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Critical Care or Internal Medicine
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in Transplant ICU / Critical Care Medicine
- Board-certified (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in transplant-related ICU care
- Valid license or eligibility for DHA Consultant classification
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus
- Proven experience in managing liver and kidney transplant patients
- Familiarity with advanced ICU technologies and EMR systems
- Commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and continuous learning
- Interest in academic teaching or transplant-related research
