The Role

As a Consultant General Surgeon (Trauma Surgeon), you will be responsible for treating patients with traumatic injuries, ranging from minor cuts and bruises to complex fractures and life-threatening injuries. You will work closely with our team of medical professionals to provide quality care and treatment to patients in need of immediate surgical intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including review of medical history and physical examination to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Performing surgeries on patients with varying degrees of trauma, including but not limited to, minor and major injuries, complex fractures, and internal organ damage
• Managing pre and post-operative care, including prescribing medication, wound care, and follow-up appointments
• Collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to ensure the best outcome for each patient
• Participating in continuous education and professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of Trauma Surgery
  
  

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in General Surgery and Subspecialty in Trauma Surgery
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant General Surgeon with focus on Trauma Surgery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Valid license to practice medicine in Abu Dhabi
