Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Vascular Surgery to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will manage complex surgical cases involving both general and vascular pathologies, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced general surgical procedures including abdominal, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue surgeries
Diagnose and treat vascular conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms, varicose veins, and thrombosis
Conduct open and endovascular surgeries including bypass grafting, embolectomy, and angioplasty
Provide pre-operative assessments, operative care, and post-operative follow-up
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, cardiologists, and intensivists
Participate in surgical audits, peer reviews, and clinical governance activities
Educate junior staff and contribute to CME programs and surgical training
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with DOH (Department of Health) standards
Qualifications & Experience
Medical degree from a recognized institution
Completion of residency in General Surgery
Fellowship or subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery
Board certification (e.g., American Board, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent)
Minimum 8–10 Years Of Post-specialization Experience
DOH eligibility or willingness to obtain Abu Dhabi licensure
Proven expertise in both open and minimally invasive vascular procedures
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and leadership skills
Preferred Attributes
Experience in managing complex vascular emergencies and trauma cases
Familiarity with advanced imaging and surgical navigation systems
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
