Consultant General Surgeon (Thyroid) - Abu Dhabi

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Thyroid Surgery to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide expert surgical care for thyroid-related conditions, including cancer treatment, minimally invasive procedures, and endocrine surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients with thyroid disorders, including performing physical exams, reviewing medical history, and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with thyroid conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures such as thyroidectomies, lobectomies, and lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer.
• Use advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures, to minimize patient discomfort and promote faster recovery.
• Collaborate with endocrinologists, radiologists, and pathologists to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in thyroid surgery and best practices in the field.
• Train and mentor other healthcare professionals, including residents and medical students, on thyroid surgery procedures.
  
  

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in general surgery.
• Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery or equivalent subspecialty training in thyroid surgery.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant general surgeon with a focus on thyroid surgery.
• License to practice as a consultant general surgeon in Abu Dhabi.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
