Job Title: Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation—Saudi Arabia

Job Role

As a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop, implement and monitor treatment plans for patients with physical disabilities, injuries, and chronic illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the physical therapy and rehabilitation needs of patients
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history and goals
  • Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including exercise, massage, manual therapy, and electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore function
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on the importance of compliance with treatment plans and self-care techniques
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to patient treatment
  • Stay abreast of new developments and advancements in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation and incorporate them into patient care strategies
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation technicians
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures in the department
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment and progress

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred
