Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations, diagnose, and treat patients with disorders of the eye, particularly in the areas of medical retina and cataract.
- Perform eye surgeries, including cataract surgery and vitreoretinal procedures.
- Utilize various diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess patient conditions.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of ophthalmology and incorporate them into practice.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Participate in academic activities, including medical conferences, journal clubs, and teaching sessions.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in ophthalmology.
- Fellowship training in medical retina and/or cataract surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant ophthalmologist in a reputable healthcare facility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of Arabic is must.
