Job Overview

As a consultant ophthalmologist (medical retina/cataract), you will be responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive care to patients with disorders of the eye, specifically in the areas of medical retina and cataract. You will play a vital role in the team and will be involved in diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of eye-related conditions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, diagnose, and treat patients with disorders of the eye, particularly in the areas of medical retina and cataract.
• Perform eye surgeries, including cataract surgery and vitreoretinal procedures.
• Utilize various diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Manage and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality regulations.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of ophthalmology and incorporate them into practice.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Participate in academic activities, including medical conferences, journal clubs, and teaching sessions.
  
  

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in ophthalmology.
• Fellowship training in medical retina and/or cataract surgery.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant ophthalmologist in a reputable healthcare facility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Arabic is must.
