Job Description
As a Paediatric Pulmonology Consultant, you will be responsible for providing specialised medical care to children with respiratory diseases and disorders. You will work with a team of highly trained healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat various respiratory conditions in children, including asthma, bronchitis, and cystic fibrosis. This is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Chief of Paediatrics.
Key Responsibilities
As a Paediatric Pulmonology Consultant, you will be responsible for providing specialised medical care to children with respiratory diseases and disorders. You will work with a team of highly trained healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat various respiratory conditions in children, including asthma, bronchitis, and cystic fibrosis. This is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Chief of Paediatrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop treatment plans for children with respiratory conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lung function tests and X-rays
- Prescribe medication and provide appropriate follow-up care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Stay updated on new developments and treatment options in the field of paediatric pulmonology
- Educate patients and their families on proper management and prevention of respiratory conditions
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in paediatric pulmonology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paediatric Pulmonology Consultant
- In-depth knowledge of respiratory diseases and disorders in children
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Valid medical license in Saudi Arabia
- The candidate must have received Western training or education
