Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Respiratory Specialist to join a growing pediatric subspecialty department. This role is integral to managing complex respiratory conditions in infants, children, and adolescents while driving excellence in patient outcomes, clinical education, and service development.

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Respiratory Specialist to join a growing pediatric subspecialty department. This role is integral to managing complex respiratory conditions in infants, children, and adolescents while driving excellence in patient outcomes, clinical education, and service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric respiratory and pulmonary disorders, including asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis, and sleep-related breathing issues
- Perform and interpret pediatric pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopies, and sleep studies
- Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with pediatricians, intensivists, and respiratory therapists
- Participate in respiratory care planning, chronic disease management, and home ventilation programs
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuing medical education programs
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation, and DOH compliance
- Engage in quality improvement, research, and innovation in pediatric respiratory care
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), with completed residency in Pediatrics
- Subspecialty training or fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine
- Board certified (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5-6 years of post-specialty experience, including consultant-level practice
- Eligible for DOH Consultant licensure (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi)
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are advantageous)
- Expertise in advanced diagnostic modalities and technology-assisted respiratory management
- Collaborative mindset, with commitment to family-centered and culturally sensitive care
- Strong research or teaching background is an asset
- Familiarity with EMR systems and international pediatric protocols
