Job Overview

As a consultant in sports medicine (orthopedics), you will play a critical role in our organization by providing expert medical care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, with a passion for working with athletes and active individuals. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat sports-related injuries and conditions such as fractures, sprains, strains, and dislocations.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and ligament repair.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including physical therapy, medication, and rehabilitation.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on injury prevention, proper nutrition, and exercise techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, athletic trainers, and primary care physicians, to coordinate patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery through continuing education and attending conferences.
  • Mentor and supervise medical staff, residents, and medical students.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited university.
  • Board certification in orthopedic surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Fellowship training in sports medicine.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Consultant in Sports Medicine (Orthopedic).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Must be Western-trained.
