Key Responsibilities
The Contracts Engineer is responsible for supporting contract administration, review, and compliance for construction projects. The role involves assisting in contract preparation, monitoring contractual obligations, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, managing claims and variations, and maintaining accurate contract records to minimize risk and protect the company’s interests.

- Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Monitor and track contractual obligations, milestones, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Assist in identifying, preparing, and submitting claims, variation orders, and change requests.
- Maintain organized physical and digital contract records and update contract registers.
- Provide support in resolving contractual issues, disputes, or claims under guidance of senior management.
- Review project correspondence, requests for information, and approvals to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
- Support reporting on contract performance, financial exposure, and risk mitigation.
- Field and office-based role requiring site visits.
- Interaction with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Must adhere to company policies, procedures, and site safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, or Quantity Survey Engineering.
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in contracts related to construction projects.
- Knowledge of legal and contractual requirements for construction projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contract types and standard construction contracts.
- Proficient in MS Office and contract management tools.
