Role Overview:
- Provide support pertaining to contractual matters during Tender and Execution phases.
- Negotiate contracts with customers and subcontractors, collaborating with sales, tender, and operation teams.
- Reduce contractual risk through thorough and consistent reviews.
- Support project execution in identifying and pursuing variation orders and claims.
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and liaise with corporate functions as required.
- Develop a culture of best practices with IMPACT.
Key Responsibilities Tender phase:
- Negotiate main contractual documents with Tender and Sales teams, with the support and assessment of all required SMEs. Monitor contractual commitments (Coming into Force, Liabilities, claims, and Variation orders et al.)
- Review and highlight key contractual and/or operational risks to ensure compliances to Schneider Electric policies.
- Perform contract reviews (including terms and conditions) in accordance with the rules of engagement and in consultation with Legal and SRM ( Solution Risk Manager).
- Perform GAP analysis of final contracts against agreed and approved mandate.
Key Responsibilities Execution Phase:
- Support project managers in contractual matters with both customers and subcontractors in a timely and effective manner.
- Draft contractual correspondence in consultation with Legal as required.
- Support the deployment of corporate guidelines, CPP change order & claim management, and best practices.
- Assists PM to defend claims if any such as LDs, stand by cost made against SE.
- Advise on the implementation of suspension notices during execution and recommend strategies to optimize Schneider Electric's capacity to claim compensations in case of suspension or termination.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management in a project environment or project/finance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, or Law.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management, Legal, and Risk Assessment.
- Contract Management Certification or equivalent.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is plus.
