An opportunity has arisen for a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Credit Controller to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi, supporting a wide range of finance and commercial operations across the Middle East.
The successful candidate will assist with managing the debtors’ ledger, ensuring timely payments, performing credit checks, and supporting cash flow forecasting, among other responsibilities. This role is ideal for an early-career finance professional who is eager to take ownership of tasks, apply critical thinking, and contribute confidently in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with managing the debtors’ ledger, ensuring timely payments, performing credit checks, and supporting cash flow forecasting, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Responsible for a debtors’ ledger
- Ensuring payments are received as per the terms and conditions of contract
- Cash forecasting
- Identifying query invoices and logging them correctly
- Collating and reporting debtor management data
- Daily banking and cash receipting
- Performing credit checks for prospective and current clients
- Building/nurturing internal and external relationships
- Working as part of a team to meet specific monthly targets
- Liaising directly with clients and internal departments, sometimes visiting separate offices
- Preparing daily and weekly reports for senior management
- Pre-emptive 10 day calls with clients on all invoices
- Identifying and escalating invoices in queryUsing a range of computer systems
- Other ad-hoc duties within the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3 – 5 years of experience in debtor management and cash receipting
- Previous experience in the consultancy service sector would be an advantage
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Methodical and organised approach
- Highly motivated
- Ability to work in a team and on own initiatives
- This is a full-time post with an employment package commensurate with experience
- Regular training and development will be provided
