Credit Risk Assistant Manager

An excellent opportunity is available with an established banking organisation in the Dubai office based in Deira for a Credit Risk Assistant Manager.

Reporting to the Risk Managing Director, you will assist with credit risk underwriting of Corporate borrowers, credit monitoring and asset quality management and risk management reporting for regulatory compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive review / credit risk assessment of corporate borrowers (Wholesale Banking) and finalize Risk Review for onward submission to the Committee
• Conduct Risk Ratings of Corporate borrowers in Banks' internal rating model based on financial & subjective assessment
• Identifying early warning signs & managing stressed accounts
• Manage ECL / IFRS9 provisions, Stage downgrades
• Generate monthly credit portfolio report from system
• Generate daily excess / past due report, weekly report for management reporting & consolidated report for portfolio monitoring
• MIS reporting of Risk Data for various stakeholders including Risk Management, BRF, Board Risk Committee, External Auditors, Board Management Committee

The Credit Risk Assistant Manager will possess a Bachelor or equivalent, and excellent experience in credit analysis and risk management reporting functions within a bank ideally within the UAE. You will have a thorough understanding of Corporate Credit Risk & Financial statement analysis, hands on with MS Office Suite and be proficient in using Banking software and databases like Finacle, Kepler, CRISIL ICON. You will have knowledge of Risk Management frameworks (incl. IFRS9 ECL), practices, process, standards, system and methods, an understanding of corporate banking products and services and strong time management skills and ability to work effectively as a team.
