Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi offers 301 stylish guestrooms and suites, including 80 exclusive Traders Club rooms. As a Culinary Intern, you will have a great opportunity to join our Culinary Division. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in the area, learning at different levels of responsibility, and working with a team. You will also provide excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu.
Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner.
Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
Work with hotel colleagues to keep excellent service standards.
Be prepared to assist other Shangri-La colleagues/departments in a thoughtful manner.
Empathetically listen to client queries/complaints and work with colleagues/management to find solutions.
About You
Maintains a growth mindset and willingness to learn the skills and knowledge of Culinary.
Great teamwork skills, attention to detail, efficient, punctual, and flexible to work on a shifting schedule, weekends and holidays.
Warm, friendly, can-do attitude, and the desire to always deliver the Shangri-La experience.
High School, Diploma, and/or Hospitality graduate would be preferred.
Previous Culinary and/or Food and Beverage experience in luxury hospitality/customer service is a plus.
