Job Description:

We at IIQAF are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dependable Customs Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that import and export regulations are followed and that appropriate customs procedures are maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform necessary examination for the value, quantity and quality of donated items when presented at customs.
  • Ensure that all paperwork, declarations, shipping information and other documents are accurate and complete.
  • Handle requests for storage and inspect goods for identification and marking.
  • Verify appropriate payment of duties and taxes and maintain records of all clearance procedures.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify any suspicious activity and prepare reports for further investigation.
  • Monitor compliance with IIQAF standards, procedures and applicable legislation by inspecting incoming shipments at ports.
  • Generate intelligence reports on customs threats and evaluate risks that could affect company operations.
  • Engage in activities such as customs audit and provide expertise on related custom law matters.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, international trade or related field
  • 3 years of experience in customs administration, international trade, and/or international transport
  • Familiarity with international trade concepts, rules, regulations and the Harmonized System (HS)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Expertise in risk management and fraud prevention
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze large data sets quickly

Salary:

  • 6000AED-7500AED
