Job Description

The role of the Cyber Security Specialist to ensure IFZA’s network security and implement security systems that protect IFZA computer networks from cyber-attacks and help set and maintain security standards

Main Responsibility

• Determining methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance
• Acting as a point of escalation on the service desk in regard to supporting L2-3 incidents
• Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
• Documenting security breaches and assessing the damage they cause
• Working with the IT Security to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
• Fixing detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
• Staying current on IT security trends and news
• Developing and reviewing information security policies and procedures according to the industry best practices and relevant standard requirements
• Assisting IT team to develop company-wide best practices for IT security
• Performing penetration testing
• Helping colleagues install security software and understanding information security management
• Gathering feedback from end-users to continue improving systems
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned by Management
  
  

Requirements

• Full English proficiency is required
• Proficiency in relevant information technologies and systems
• Working knowledge of CRM systems
• ITIL V3/V4 or has a clear understanding of Incident, Request, Problem and Change management, Certified in ITIL Foundation
• Knowledge of cloud security and experience in cloud security testing
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service and telephone etiquette
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
• Deep understanding of networking protocols e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS
• Ability to interact confidently with others to explain problems and establish solutions that address their needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with other IT personnel to resolve user issues
• Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levelsStrong listening and questioning skills to ensure best practices and best solutions are established
• Prior experience working in a multinational organization
  
  

Experience

• Tertiary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant subjects OR equivalent in industry experience
• CompTIA CySA+ is a plus
• minimum 5 years’ of experience on Cyber Security
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or similar
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent is a plus
• Experience with IT Ticketing system
• Hands on experience analyzing high volume of logs, network data and other attack artifact
