Please note that this position requires on-site work at the client’s office, and relocation to The United Arab Emirates is required.

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect/Principal Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks and Azure to join our team. The project focuses on building a new data platform for our client in the UAE.

You will be:

• participating in a greenfield project focused on building a new data platform in the finance sector,
• designing data structures, formats, and standards,
• standardizing the approach to data integration from various sources,
• closely collaborating with other data architects and technical teams,
• operating within an Azure/Databricks environment, encompassing several technological streams,
• working 100% on-site in Abu Dhabi as part of an international team of specialists from Europe and India.

Your profile:

• ready to start within 6 weeks,
• minimum of 5 years in data architecture,
• proficient in Python and SQL,
• knowledge of tools and practices for processing large volumes of data,
• proven experience with Databricks,
• strong background in cloud infrastructure (Azure),
• ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment,
• strong written and verbal English communication skill and proficient in communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• knowledge of Collibra is a big plus
