UTEC is currently looking to hire a Data Centre Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. The role will be based at our facility in Abu Dhabi.
The Data Centre Manager will oversee all reporting, data processing, and charting operations across the Middle East region. This role serves as the team lead for the data centre at the Abu Dhabi office and is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of project final documentation to clients in the region.
Key responsibilities include supervising onshore data processors, reports coordinators, and document controllers across the Middle East.
Duties
- Monitoring and quality control to ensure all data processing, reporting and charting works are carried out in accordance with the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Work with Commercial team on the review of RFQs and provide input of reporting, processing, and charting requirements
- Manage the allocation of onshore data processing resources within the APME region.
- Liaise with Project Managers/Project Surveyors/Party Chiefs regarding data to be processed/charts to be prepared in the office
- Review/QC of data processing and charting deliverables
- Review/QC of field generated reports/deliverables, as/when needed
- Review/QC of final reports/deliverables
- Review/QC of GIS deliverables
- Oversee the Document control process for projects in the APME region
- Liase with 3rd party IT service providers on the data backup operations
- Liase with other regional UTEC Data centre on onshore data processing resource management
- Assist with the remote data processing operations
Requirements
- MS/BS degree in related discipline
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience within the offshore survey industry
- Minimum 5 years onshore data processing and reporting experience
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential
- Proficiency in ACAD and GIS is beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Ability to work both independently and within teams
