Job Duties
- Build and maintain high-availability database systems tailored to end-user's roles and requirements.
- Design and implement databases that align with user's information needs and viewpoints.
- Define user roles and enable secure, timely data distribution in appropriate formats.
- Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
- Monitor database performance and implement necessary changes.
- Apply new patches and software updates as required.
- Develop SQL scripts and create web services to facilitate communication between various applications.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Database Administrator.
- Proven experience with database standards and end-user applications.
- Advanced knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and SQL
- Strong familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
- Hands-on experience with DBA tools (frontend/backend) and third-party solutions.
- Proficiency in API integrations and programming languages.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think algorithmically.
