Our team helps governments and companies navigate growth ambitions and drive the creation of sustainable value. As part of the team, you’ll formulate actionable growth strategies, drive identification and prioritization of initiatives to capture value, develop roadmaps to activate those initiatives, determine required acquisitions or divestments to enable growth, and consider financial reporting implications for deals. We’re looking for passionate and motivated individuals who want to be a part of building a growing part of the practice and support PwC to be a market leader in the Energy, Resources and Sustainability (ERS) space.
Role Responsibilities
As a Deals Manager focused within the Energy and Utilities sector. you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing strategic and operational advice for our clients, with focus on pre-deal work
- Supporting clients (private and public sector) in their localization efforts through value chain analysis, identification of investment opportunities and conduction of feasibility studies
- Developing market assessment, commercial due diligence, business plan and corporate strategy for clients in the Industrials sector
- Overseeing the successful delivery of projects, which may include multiple projects at a time, while leading a team of 3-4 consultants
- Managing the client relationship on a day-to-day basis and other stakeholders
- Managing project budget, reporting on project costs, and managing payment collection
- Relevant experience in management consulting with a focus on advising governments and major stakeholders in the energy, utilities, power, mining, and sustainability sectors on issues related to strategy and, corporate finance
- Proven experience working within the Middle East region, with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics is preferred
- Good understanding of investment strategies, deal structuring, and the M&A process, bringing valuable insights and solutions to complex transactions and investment opportunities
- Successful when leading teams and delivering projects through to completion
- Proven experience of coaching junior team members
- Keen to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, establishing credibility both, internally with senior management, and externally with our clients
- Strong time management and organizing skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
- Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences
- Your flexibility to travel 40-60% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required.
