Decarbonization Engineer - UAEN

A Snapshot of your day

You will lead innovative brownfield transformation projects to support the energy transition and drive decarbonization efforts. Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams, offer strategic mentorship, and engage with customers to implement innovative solutions that align with our sustainability goals.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead all aspects of technical project management and provide direct support for customer requests related to brownfield transformation, facilitating the energy transition.
• Coordinate and conduct plant optimization and decarbonization studies, collaborating with engineering departments across Siemens Energy.
• Lead and guide project teams in the integration of innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with decarbonization and sustainability strategies.
• Manage the technical roadmap for new service fleet solutions, while supporting business development and marketing with insights on digital technologies.
• Act as the technical point of contact for service regions, facilitating customer interactions and site visits to improve service delivery and solution implementation
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Hold a University Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering, with extensive experience in the Power Generation Service sector, particularly in engineering roles.
• Possess a proven understanding of power plant operations, maintenance concepts, and large rotating equipment, along with knowledge of internal processes related to service implementation and product development.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate various projects and deadlines while leading a multi-disciplinary team committed to customer benefits.
• Exhibit excellent social skills in English, with additional languages being a plus, and the ability to interface effectively with customers, field personnel, and management.
• Show a proactive approach and strong curiosity about decarbonization technologies, with a dedication to providing balanced solutions and a willingness to travel for customer interactions and site visits.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
