Dental Assistant supports dental and minor surgical procedures while ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized according to DOH/DHA and M42 standards. The role also involves maintaining infection control protocols and making sure dental supplies are always available.

Job Overview
Dental Assistant supports dental and minor surgical procedures while ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized according to DOH/DHA and M42 standards. The role also involves maintaining infection control protocols and making sure dental supplies are always available.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during clinical procedures, including extractions, root canals, and oral hygiene treatments.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed.
- Perform dental radiographs (X-rays) under supervision after competency verification.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices.
- Support with scheduling, billing, insurance coordination, and daily patient documentation.
- Manage and monitor dental supplies and emergency equipment.
- Deliver a patient-centered experience through clear communication and empathetic care.
- Diploma in Dental Assistant, Dental Nursing, or Hygienist (2+ years course duration).
- Minimum of 2 years experience required in a Dental Clinic or a Hospital setting.
- Must have DOH/DHA license as a Dental Assistant.
