Responsibilities

• Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis: Stay abreast of the evolving regulatory landscape in the MENA region, including changes to laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Analyze the impact of these changes on the business and recommend appropriate actions.
• Policy Development & Implementation: Assist in the development, review, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures to address regulatory requirements and mitigate risks.
• Compliance Monitoring & Testing: Conduct regular compliance monitoring and testing activities to identify potential gaps and weaknesses in the compliance framework. Develop and execute testing plans, analyze results, and report findings to the Head of Compliance.
• Risk Assessment: Participate in the identification and assessment of compliance risks across the business. Contribute to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
• Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees to enhance their understanding of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to the Head of Compliance and senior management. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external regulators. Regulatory Inquiries & Audits: Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.
• Team Management & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior members of the compliance team, fostering a culture of compliance awareness and best practice.
• Project Management: Lead or participate in compliance-related projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project objectives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Legal, Operations, and Technology, to ensure compliance is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in compliance, preferably within the financial services industry, with a focus on online trading or brokerage.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in the MENA region, including regulations related to anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and market conduct.
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Experience in conducting compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Business level proficiency in English or above (equivalent to B2 or above in CEFR)
