Job Description

Job Purpose:

As a member of the Global Markets – Sales team, within Global Markets (Investment Banking Division), the incumbent should be a strong team player, with the ability to deliver agreed sales and revenue targets.

As a member of the Global Corporate Sales Team, the incumbent will focus on selling Global Markets solutions to Large Corporates across the targeted client base and geography. He/she will be expected to cultivate strong relationships with the client to understand their requirements and provide high quality service to the targeted clients. The specific customer segments which will be under scope include Clients under the Corporate and Commercial Banking Group.

Key Accountabilities:

Generic Accountability:

  • Ensure adherence to all GM Sales requirements across the assigned portfolio, which are in-line with FAB’s regulatory, compliance and best practice standards.
  • Strong team player who is able to work closely with members of the GM Sales Team and Support Departments – Legal, Compliance, Documentation etc. – as required.
  • Ensure high quality execution and build/maintain strong relationships with GM products, Relationship Managers, Traders and the infrastructure/support staff.
  • Ensure client / internal / revenue issues are escalated appropriately to the Line Manager within a suitable time-frame.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all revenue and volume targets, both Individual and for the Team, are delivered.
  • Multi-asset class coverage as required by your assigned Line Manager.
  • Knowledge of various GM products, including but not limited to, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Options, FX (G10/EM), Deposit’s, Credit, TRS, Commodities, Equities, Islamic Products and E-Commerce.
  • Fostering and developing client relationships for both existing and new-to-bank clients.
  • Adherance to all Legal, Operational and market risk requirements

Specific Accountability

  • Meeting the budget for the assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure maximum optimization of customer FX flows.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across the assigned portfolio.
  • Be able to structure and price various interest rate and option structures on Bloomberg/Murex.
  • Actively meeting clients to foster, develop and strengthen client relationships to increase Bank revenue.
  • Maintaining and improving margins across all clients.
  • 100% compliance with all Legal and Operational requirements and ensureing there are no breaches.
  • All client queries are to be responded in a timely fashion to enhance client satisfaction

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 8 years in Financial Markets. Direct Customer support / Client Service experience.
  • Knowledge of various GM products, including Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Options, FX (G10/EM), Deposit’s, Repo’s, Credit, TRS, Commodities, Equities, Islamic Products and E-Commerce.
  • Comfortable with using various pricing systems including, but not limited to, Murex, Bloomberg and Super Derivatives, to price different derivative and option structures
  • Strong team player, with the ability to drive team performance.
  • Accurate, thorough and highly responsible with good attention to detail.
  • Strong and effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience of interaction with other regional and global teams.
  • Regional and/or foreign language skills would be an added advantage;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Capable of performing and delivering results under pressure.
