Our client is a pioneering Healthcare and Lifestyle Medicine Innovation Center based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, dedicated to transforming the future of health and longevity. With a core mission to help people live healthier, longer lives, they harness the latest advancements in diagnostics and precision healthcare to redefine the standards of care.


Their clinical practice, along with their research and innovation arms are shaping the future of Healthy Longevity medicine. 


They are now seeking a Director of Finance, who will oversee the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and aligning financial strategies with market trends. This role involves leading financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and reporting, while supporting business growth through sound financial insights.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and oversee long-range financial plans, budgets, and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor and report on financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies for financial audits and reviews.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, setting financial goals and objectives.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and models to support strategic business planning.
  • Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.

Cost Management and Efficiency

  • Implement cost control measures to improve financial efficiency.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Monitor key financial metrics to ensure sustainability and health.

Investment and Risk Management

  • Manage investment activities, assessing risks and returns.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies to protect the organizations assets.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and audit processes are in place.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the finance department.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Support the development of business cases for new projects and initiatives.



Governance & Compliance:

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Chief Business Officer and works closely with other executive leadership team members.

Compliance Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and healthcare industry standards.

Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data and implement data security

protocols.

Decision-Making Authority:

Holds decision-making authority for financial strategies, resource allocation, and risk mitigation within approved policies and budgets.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in finance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within the healthcare industry in the UAE.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
  • Certifications in financial management or accounting, e.g., CPA, CFA, are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of UAE healthcare financial regulations and compliance standards.
