The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the Executive Committee, responsible for leading the hotel’s people strategy and ensuring an exceptional experience that mirrors the ultra-luxury standards we deliver to our guests and Team Members. This role oversees all aspects of Human Resources functions including Talent & Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement & Relations, Compensation & Benefits and Compliance.

The Director of Human Resources partners closely with department heads to build a high-performing, motivated and service-driven workforce while safeguarding compliance with local labour laws and company policies. What will I be doing?
As a Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for the effective management and performance of all Human Resources related activities. Specifically, the Director of Human Resources will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as an advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee on all people-related matters.
- Shape and drive the HR strategy to align with the hotel’s ultra-luxury positioning and brand values.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead the recruitment process to attract the right talent in the luxury hospitality sector.
- Ensure an elevated onboarding journey that creates a sense of belonging and pride from day one.
- Develop retention strategies that nurture career growth, internal mobility, succession planning and long-term engagement.
- Oversee tailored training programs that enhance luxury service skills, leadership capability, and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and empowerment across all levels of the hotel.
- Cultivate a positive work environment where colleagues feel valued, respected, and motivated.
- Drive engagement initiatives that reflect the ultra-luxury guest experience internally for Team Members.
- Provide guidance and resolution on sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and fairness.
- Manage the Team Member’s Survey and the calendar of Team Member events.
- Oversee the compensation structure, rewards and benefits programs, ensuring the hotel remains abreast of market benchmarking to ensure the operation is competitively placed as an attractive employer.
- Oversee annual salary reviews, incentive plans and recognition programs.
- Oversee the hotel's human resources database and payroll system
- Ensure adherence to local labour laws, health & safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate HR policies, procedures, and records.
A Director of Human Resources serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Minimum of Eight (8) years experiences as Director of Human Resources in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ideally within ultra-luxury hotel or hospitality industry.
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the UAE Labour market, employment legislation and cultural diversity.
- Deep understanding of HR best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication and counselling skills
- High level of integrity, discretion and emotional intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Fluent in English and additional languages are an asset.
