This is not a conventional product management position centered on customer feedback cycles or iterative feature releases. This is an executive-level technical product ownership role in which you will control the architecture, technical strategy, and AI integration across our entire learning platform. You will be accountable for the difficult technical tradeoffs that keep our products lean, scalable, and relentlessly oriented toward improving student outcomes. What You Will Be Doing

• Sustaining and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic decisions
• Creating technical specifications that address critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and long-term sustainability
• Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort

• Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative processes; we have automated management overhead to enable you to concentrate on delivering business value through direct, hands-on work

Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning core competencies and generating business value through seamless execution and strategic decision-making
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Deep experience or interest in data-driven learning science
• 7+ years of experience making the important architecture and design decisions on software projects, such as the application of architecture design patterns or significant open source technologies
• 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
• 4+ years of experience in positions with full technical and delivery ownership on a revenue-generating product
• Experience building product features that make advanced use of Generative AI
• Experience using Generative AI to simplify work processes

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
