Director of Sales

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales to join our Sales & Marketing team. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of the UAE market, as well as having led a team in identifying and creating lucrative business partnerships within the region.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in leading a proactive sales team in a Luxury business environment.
• Proven track record in identifying top sales talent & nurturing senior and entry level staff.
• Strong work ethic and appropriate leadership skills.
• English speaker (Arabic or other languages is a bonus).
• Strong OPMS knowledge.
• Ability to network, building strong & meaningful business relationships at a high level.
• Experience in the local market (UAE as well as other GCC)
  
  

What will you do?

• Ensure a high standard among the sales team/department.
• Boost Room sales by utilising metrics/KPI's to drive the team.
• Develop and implement appropriate customer sales procedures.
• Take ownership of the sales function as a key revenue generating centre of the hotel.
• Fully train staff in all aspects of Sales Operations.
• Liaise with respective departments on special projects.
• Work closely with revenue management to fully implement yield driven initiatives.
• Ensure Shangri-La account management is strictly adhered to.
• Other duties relating to the Director of Customer Sales function.

The hotel comprises 213 luxurious guestrooms and suites and 6 four-bedroom villas with private pools, all furnished to the highest standards in a modern Arabic style.
