Job Description
Job Summary:
This role is crucial for ensuring seamless document management throughout the construction project, supporting the project team, and maintaining compliance with all relevant standards
The Document Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the document control process for construction projects, ensuring that all project-related documentation is accurately managed, stored, and distributed. This role involves developing and implementing document control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, and managing a team of document controllers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Develop and maintain document control systems to manage project documentation, including drawings, plans, contracts, and reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of document controllers.
- Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and quality of documentation, including proper filing and storage.
- Distribution: Manage the distribution of documents to project team members and external stakeholders.
- Audit Support: Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on document control activities and project documentation status.
- Training: Train project team members on document control procedures and systems.
- Improvement: Continuously improve document control processes and systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in document management software and construction management applications.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in document control within the construction industry.
