Dog Handler - Female

Are you passionate about working with dogs. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Handler to join our team and provide exceptional care and training for our canine companions. This role involves working closely with a variety of dog breeds to ensure their well-being and develop their obedience and behaviour skills.

Key Responsibilities

Canine Care and Supervision

• Provide attentive care and supervision for dogs to ensure their safety and welfare at all times.
• Monitor the health and behaviour of the dogs, reporting any concerns to the relevant team members.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the dogs, ensuring all kennels and play areas are well-maintained.

Training and Behavioural Development

• Implement training programmes that cater to each dog's specific needs, focusing on obedience and socialisation.
• Utilise positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviours and build trust with the dogs.
• Assist in evaluating and modifying behavioural issues in a timely manner.

Client Interaction and Support

• Communicate effectively with dog owners, providing updates on their pet's progress and behaviour.
• Offer guidance and support to dog owners on training techniques and at-home care instructions.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in working with a variety of dog breeds, preferably within a similar role.
• Certifications in animal behaviour or canine training are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of canine behaviour and training techniques.

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
• Patience and resilience to handle challenging situations and behavioural issues.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple dogs and tasks efficiently.
• Physical ability to handle large breeds and maintain an active, outdoor-oriented role.
