About The Job
Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Front Office Department, the Doorman is responsible for providing a friendly and caring welcome to our guests and visitors from the entrance, according to our service standards to provide guest with positive exceptional experience. The Doorman reports to the Assistant Front Office Manager.

About The Job
Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Front Office Department, the Doorman is responsible for providing a friendly and caring welcome to our guests and visitors from the entrance, according to our service standards to provide guest with positive exceptional experience. The Doorman reports to the Assistant Front Office Manager.
As a Doorman, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Greeting and welcome the guests upon their arrival in a friendly and caring manner according to the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental standards
- Ensure security of doors and entryways prior to opening doors for all incoming guests; monitor the entry and exit of visitors and guests
- Provide guidance and direct guests to the correct destination
- Provide general information about Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental and our services
- Open car doors for all guests coming out of a vehicle, help with the luggage and bring it to the hotel in an efficient and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction
- Handle guest requests in a polite and efficient manner such as calling a taxi or giving directions, refer requests to relevant staff if needed to ensure positive experience of the guests
- Be aware of all hotel products and services as well as on tourist and business travel information, that may be of any interest to our guests
- Control the traffic ensuring that there are no vehicles blocking the hotel entrance
- Help housekeeping team to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Emirates Palace main entrance area
- Any other duties, which may be assigned to you from time to time, as directed by your supervisor or manager
- Previous experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, customer service and professional attitude
- Security awareness
- English – written and verbal, additional language will be an advantage
