E-Commerce Platform Management
The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s online store, driving sales, and improving the overall customer experience. This role involves overseeing product listings, managing online promotions, analyzing sales data, and working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure the growth of the online business. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and customer behavior.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce Platform Management
- Manage and optimize the company’s online store, ensuring product listings are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Monitor and update product categories, descriptions, pricing, and stock availability to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
- Implement and manage online promotions, including sales, discounts, and special offers, to drive conversions and meet sales targets.
- Track and analyze key e-commerce metrics (conversion rates, sales revenue, average order value, cart abandonment rate, etc.) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize product sales, increase average order value, and reduce cart abandonment.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, detailing performance, KPIs, and actionable insights.
- Conduct regular usability tests, identify friction points in the user journey, and make recommendations to improve the overall customer experience.
- Work with design and development teams to enhance the website’s interface, navigation, and overall functionality to increase conversion rates.
- Implement A/B tests and monitor the results to improve product page design, checkout process, and landing pages.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement and manage digital advertising campaigns (PPC, social media, email marketing, affiliate programs) that drive traffic to the e-commerce site.
- Optimize SEO on product pages, category pages, and the overall site to increase organic traffic and visibility on search engines.
- Manage paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.), monitor performance, and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.
- Work with the operations team to ensure inventory levels are accurate and orders are processed efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels and make recommendations for product reordering, discontinuation, or promotional focus.
- Ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer service processes, including returns and exchanges.
- Develop strategies to enhance customer loyalty and increase repeat purchases, such as personalized marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, and email follow-ups.
- Monitor customer feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement in products, customer service, and website functionality.
- Work closely with customer service teams to address customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure an excellent overall shopping experience.
- Conduct competitive analysis to stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and pricing strategies used by competitors.
- Identify new products, categories, or market segments to explore for business growth.
- Track industry developments and adjust the e-commerce strategy as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online retail.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) and content management systems (CMS).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media advertising.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Excel, and other data analysis tools to track and report on performance metrics.
- Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies and user experience best practices.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot) and automation tools.
- Familiarity with A/B testing platforms and optimization tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with customer service platforms or CRM systems (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce) is a plus.
- Increase in website traffic, conversion rates, and online sales revenue.
- Improvement in average order value and customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Reduction in cart abandonment and an increase in successful transactions.
- Customer satisfaction and retention metrics, including repeat purchase rates.
