JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics based on project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Draft and revise electrical designs for lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, communication systems, and other electrical services.
- Assist engineers in developing electrical designs and ensure that all drawings comply with local regulations, standards, and client requirements.
- Generate as-built drawings for completed projects, ensuring all modifications during construction are accurately documented.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other disciplines to ensure proper coordination of designs.
- Review and update existing electrical drawings as per project changes and site conditions.
- Ensure that all drawings are produced to a high standard, with accurate dimensions, details, and notes.
- Maintain organized records of all electrical drawings and related documentation.
- Support the preparation of tender, construction, and shop drawings for various project phases.
- Conduct site visits, when required, to gather data for drafting or to verify existing conditions for as-built drawings.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of drafting experience in the GCC, with a strong background in electrical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Familiarity with local GCC regulations, standards, and codes related to electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience working on large-scale building, infrastructure, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with engineers, architects, and contractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
