Electrical Engineer for Installation and Commissioning of 400kV Substation - 12 month contract

Overall Work Tasks

We re looking for a Substation Electrical Engineer to join our team on-site in Abu Dhabi as part of the Owner’s Engineer team. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee installation and commissioning activities for electrical systems in the 400kV substation
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Support testing and energization processes
• Collaborate with the EPC Contractor and Project Company to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth execution
• Review and verify technical documentation, drawings, and reports related to electrical systems
• Monitor progress and prepare regular updates for stakeholders
• Review Factory Acceptance Tests reports and participate at Site Acceptance Tests as required
  
  

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 15 years of site experience in Substation projects
• Strong understanding of QA/QC, HSE, and construction management practices
• Proven experience in installation and commissioning of high-voltage substations in GCC countries
• Strong understanding of substation protection, control, and SCADA systems
• Ability to work independently on-site and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in working on site
• Good knowledge of English in writing, speaking, and listening
