About the role:
We are currently seeking a qualified Electrical Inspector to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building electrical works, technical submittal review, and site inspections. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet project specifications, local authority requirements (such as DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.), and international standards. This position plays a critical role in quality assurance and regulatory compliance in construction and infrastructure projects.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a qualified Electrical Inspector to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building electrical works, technical submittal review, and site inspections. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet project specifications, local authority requirements (such as DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.), and international standards. This position plays a critical role in quality assurance and regulatory compliance in construction and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations on construction sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE regulatory standards.
- Review and evaluate electrical technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure conformance with project requirements and authority regulations.
- Verify compliance with DEWA / ADDC / SEWA / FEWA standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and international codes such as NEC, BS, or IEC.
- Monitor electrical works during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports and punch lists.
- Identify non-conformities, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve site issues.
- Support QA/QC and project teams in ensuring successful project delivery and handover.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in electrical inspection, with at least 2 years in the UAE or GCC region.
- Sound knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.) and permitting procedures.
- Proficient in reviewing technical submittals, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with international standards and codes (NEC, NFPA, IEC, BS).
- Experience with high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and reporting software (e.g., snagging tools like PlanGrid, Procore, or Aconex).
- UAE Society of Engineers membership (preferred or required, depending on the client).
- DEWA/ADDC/SEWA inspector approval (highly desirable).
- Certification in QA/QC or electrical inspection (e.g., NICET, NFPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and inspection procedures.
