Installation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical systems in new outlets, including wiring, circuit boards, switches, and light fixtures.
  • Set up electrical equipment and ensure its proper functioning.

Maintenance And Repairs

  • Perform regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues such as faulty wiring, electrical malfunctions, and power outages.
  • Replace damaged or outdated electrical components.

Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all installations and repairs meet local building codes and electrical safety regulations.
  • Follow safety protocols when handling electrical systems and during high-risk tasks.

Testing And Diagnostics

  • Use testing equipment to assess the functionality and safety of electrical systems.
  • Identify and resolve issues, such as electrical shorts, wiring issues, or overloads.

Collaboration

  • Work alongside other tradespeople, such as plumbers or general contractors, during construction or renovation projects.
  • Keep detailed records of work completed, including any permits and inspections.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment related to electrical work (e.g., voltmeters, wire strippers, drills).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
