As Electrician you will be responsible for maximizing availability of plant equipment through effective preventative and reactive maintenance on a fast-moving production line. The Electrician is usually working in the shifts. This means they will usually have a strong controls / electrical background but must be capable of undertaking basic mechanical repairs also.
The ideal candidate should have experience in RCA problem solving.
What you’ll be doing:

- Perform maintenance work on continuous production process machinery, on a highly automated production line.
- Troubleshooting of industrial automation, PLCs, frequency inverters, sensors, scales, general industrial electrical equipment’s.
- Key support in the repair of breakdowns during production shifts and Support for investments and special maintenance of the factory.
- Participate in the maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic installations, especially in the components that are interfacing with the electrical installations.
- Perform installations or changes to electrical systems, power and control loops and loops as needed for new facilities and equipment.
- Perform installations and maintenance of electrical and control panels, including cabling of industrial networks.
- Comply with the Company’s Health & Safety and Environmental Policy and Procedures so that a safe and secure environment is maintained.
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing electrical / controls projects to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure the cleanliness / 5S is strictly followed and conservation of the workplace, tools and PPE used.
- Create and record tasks performed in the computerized maintenance system (SAP-PM) describing clearly and briefly the service performed, the duration and the materials used.
- Maintaining the plant by performing planned preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and efficient response to plant breakdowns.
- Participate and actively engage in plant continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations based on electrical / controls expertise.

- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years Hands-on experience on troubleshooting and maintaining of electrical, controls & automation systems within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the building materials or similar industry.
- Knowledge of electric motors, gearmotors, frequency inverters, sensors and other components often found in industrial circuits.
- Understanding of networked PLC systems including ability to fault find and perform programming functions (preferably Siemens S7 / Profibus / Modbus)
- Knowledge in industrial instrumentation pressure, level, temperature and flow meters.
- Experience with gas burners, process water chillers, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Understanding of relay logic systems and electronic weight control systems
- Desirable knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and capable of obtaining information from electrical drawings of various standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electricals and controls problem.
- Flexibility and availability to work in different shifts and ability to work in a team.
- Able to work independently in shifts while collaborating with a wider team.
- Able and willing to work beyond control engineering boundaries and able to communicate across different levels within the organization.
- Desire for continuous improvement both in our own projects and in current protocols.
- Confident enough to make decisions based on information available and ability to look at situations holistically.

- Capable of obtaining information from electrical drawings of various standards
- Fully conversant with motor starters and control systems
- Good understanding of motor variable speed technology (preferably Danfoss)
- Understanding of relay logic systems and PLC S7400/300 logic system
- Knowledge on Power generation plants (Gas / Diesel)
