WSP Middle East are hiring Fire Life Safety Engineer_ Emirati National to join us in Sharjah, UAE.As a Fire Life Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection and life safety systems for various projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure compliance with local and international fire safety standards.

Your new role, what's involved?

  • Develop and review fire protection and life safety designs for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and life safety evaluations.
  • Ensure all designs comply with UAE fire codes, standards (such as NFPA), and local regulations.
  • Liaise with local authorities and fire marshals to obtain necessary approvals.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design reports, calculations, and specifications.
  • Provide technical support for project teams during the construction phase.
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to integrate fire safety systems into building designs.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on fire safety matters.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of fire safety training programs for clients and staff.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CFPS, PE) is preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in fire safety engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international fire safety codes and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in fire safety design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of building systems and construction processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
