Position Overview

To play a critical role in the development of high-performance data solutions & information products at Presight. the Quality Assurance Engineer role will be responsible in evaluating & assessing application potential by testing the compatibility of new programs with existing systems and ensure adherence to application objectives, specifications and QA standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and executing manual test cases.
• Should influence better software requirements, promote proper engineering practice, and bug prevention strategies using innovative quality concepts.
• Troubleshooting problems; demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills, and an expert automation engineering resource.
• Hands-on ability to automate repeated tasks and build test coverage using Selenium framework.
• Well-acquainted with automation testing concepts of Selenium, SOAPUI, Apache JMeter, Cucumber, Screenplay, and other related tools.
• Developing new automated test frameworks that will establish product quality standards for our development process.
• Using a variety of tools to root out and diagnose hard to find bugs.
• Performing Non-Functional testing, usability, security, risk-based testing, and API testing as per requirements.
• Test script development and optimization, test data preparation, test review, test execution and debugging, effective reporting for management review.
• Owning end-to-end test activities by working closely with the development teams, Back end, Product, Architecture and Support teams.
• Identifying gaps in requirement and refining existing requirements for testability, ambiguity or redundancy.
• Challenges the Environment, raise testing standards by experimenting with new processes/Adopting new Tools.
• Working closely with development teams in instrumenting their workflow to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, coverage, and quality.
• Involving in sprint planning to define the sprint goals, sprint review meetings, identify the product backlogs and provide risks/issues to the Scrum team for quicker remediation.
• Introducing best practices in testing and project development life cycle.
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• Relevant certification would be an advantage.
  
  

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the software testing environment (Manual + Automation) – individual contributor role
• Significant experience as a QA in Software Company with prime focus on automation and manual testing.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices and integration of automated testing into a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Experienced with popular automation framework - Selenium, Cypress, Playwright and so on.
  
  

Skills

• Domain expert in manual and automation testing; to introduce new test techniques and tools and work efficiently with current tools.
• Technical understanding of design and system architecture for multitier applications.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and experience with Agile test methodology – good to have.
• Knowledge of non-functional and performance testing – good to have.
• Good understanding of networks and distributed systems.
• SQL database background/expertise.
• Detail oriented and have amazing communication skills, explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly.
