Participates in the design, fabrication and testing of prototype chemical process equipment. May have a focus on process or electro-mechanical systems design. Works closely with engineers on equipment installation and construction. Maintains and calibrates equipment and tools.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Identifies, recommends and assists in the execution of improvements to the equipment, procedures, and test methods and data analysis.
- Participates in the design and builds and assembles prototype chemical process equipment and sub-assemblies, including plumbing and electrical components.
- Installs and de-installs equipment involving various manufacturing equipment and electrical expansions. Uses drawings and sketches.
- Assists engineers in developing, improving and testing system automation and electrical processes, chemical plant processes and equipment.
- Repairs and maintains prototype chemical processing equipment. Calibrates and tests testing equipment. Maintains preventive maintenance schedule.
- Documents technical specifications and updates manuals.
- Works on special projects as assigned.
- Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
- Problem solving skills. Able to anticipate problems and find solutions.
- Quality focused with strong attention to details.
- Creative. Able to make constructive suggestions.
- Ability to handle multiple projects while organizing work to meet aggressive project schedules.
- Ability to communicate clearly and interact effectively with others.
- Formal technical training beyond High School.
- 3-5 years related experience.
