Job Purpose:

Technical Estimator must create, update, and maintain CAD/drawing files per customer requirements. Prepare and assist in making accurate estimates of costs for client projects by gathering information, and prices and analyzing important metrics. Provide detailed reports so the company can make informed decisions that will enhance its profitability and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and update CAD files from 2D/3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed quotes for custom products by collecting necessary information in collaboration with the Team Leader.
• Compile Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages by gathering required specifications from the Sales team and associated documents.
• Resolve any discrepancies in quotes by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Draft and send clear and detailed quotes, ensuring accurate information is provided for pricing from suitable suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to gather necessary information via email or phone.
• Track and maintain the status of all quotes and communicate updates as necessary.
• Identify material and time requirements through ongoing communication with the Team Leader.
• Organize and maintain RFQ files by converting and saving relevant information on the company network.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of estimation experience within the UAE, preferably in the metal fabrication industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication materials and processes is an advantage.
